Rider Notes

RIDERS EXTEND CONTRACT OF ALEXANDER 

The Saskatchewan Roughriders have signed non-import defensive back Donovan Alexander to a two year and an option contract extension. Financial details of the signing were not released. 

The 24-year old started 16 regular season games at cornerback this season. He finished the year with 35 defensive tackles, three pass knockdowns and two fumble recoveries.

Rider fan Gavin forwarded the following quotes from the Stampeders in the Calgary Sun:

"We're coming back for you Regina," said Stamps slotback Nik Lewis, who had seven catches for 100 yards yesterday. 

"They are in trouble," said Stamps defensive end Charleston Hughes. "We have something nice coming their way. "

"The only disappointment among Stamps fans after yesterday's win against the Eskimos was the lack of Edmontonians at the game to taunt."
